Pyrasulfuron-Ethyl is a selective, systemic, pre-emergence and early post-emergence herbicide used for controlling broadleaf weeds, sedges, and some grassy weeds in rice (paddy) fields. It belongs to the sulfonylurea herbicide group and works by inhibiting the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, which is crucial for weed growth.
