Conductivity Level Switch

NIVOSWITCH, a Conductivity Level Switch is a level detector which is used to detect the level of conductive liquids in overhead tanks, sumps, drainage, dewatering pits and PVC / RCC tanks. The switch prevents losses due to overflow. The instrument can be used for Pump control function as well as high & low alarms. The instrument can also be used in corrosive applications such as acids & alkalis by using special corrosive resistant sensing material like SS 316L, Hastalloy 'C' etc.
The system comprises of a sensor which is a partly insulated rod or rope probe and a controller. The sensor senses a decrease in electrical resistance due to the presence of conductive liquid between the sensor and ground terminal which is a reference point and results in flow of electrical signal which ultimately operates the relay. The instrument is available in both sheet steel (panel mounting) housing and cast aluminum housing.
