Generally Vacuum Pump generates high broadband Noise when the gas is evacuated and discharged to atmosphere. Further if it happens to be 'wet' gas associated with entrapped liquid in the evacuated gas it also poses environment problem.
The noise associated with evacuated gas is reduced through series of expansion chamber and thereby weakening the acoustic energy in the gas. By combining the multi-chamber reactive silencer with absorptive section and a separator assembly both the noise reduction and the entrapped liquid separation could be achieved in single compact equipment.
The multi-louvred tangential turn vane stainless steel separator assembly creates a spiral motion for the gas and the entrapped liquid is separated due to centrifugal motion of the gases. As there are no moving parts in the separator assembly no mechanical wear out of the metal is anticipated.
