ZEN can be your IOP in India and help you in discharge of offset obligations in various ways as explained below:-
(a) Under Clause 3.1(a) of Appendix D of Chapter 1 of DPP 2013. You must be selling your products/systems world over. Buyers would also be requiring simulators for training puposes. We can be your partner in making simulators for you as per your specifications, thus meeting your requirements of simulators for your buyers. So if you supply our simulators and trainers to your buyers in India or abroad to your International Customers, you would have discharged offsets of 1.5 times the value of your order on us. Multiplier of 1.5 is permitted to you in terms of Clause 5.11 of Appendix D as ZEN is in the category of a Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise (MSME).
(b) Under Clause 3.1(b) of Appendix D. We can set up a Joint Venture (JV) in India for manufacture of simulators and/or any other product(s). As per new FDI Policy, foreign investors can now invest up to 49% of the paid up capital of the JV. Thus your investment in the JV will earn you offsets of the value of your share. Besides earning offsets on your investment in the JV, sale of manufactured goods through you would earn offsets under Clause 3.1 (a) as well.
(c) Under Clause 3.1(d) of Appendix D. Any investment in kind by you in ZEN through provision of equipment for manufacture of simulator/any other equipment will also earn you offsets of value of the equipment. In this case also, buy back of the equipment for your customers will earn you further offsets in terms of Clause 301(a) of Appx D.

We have already developed a Full Mission Simulator for HERON &SEARCHER MK II UAVs which will revolutionize training of Internal Pilots, External Pilots, Mission commanders and Special Payload (COMINT, ELINT, SAR etc) Operators. We are presently in the process of making a Helicopter Simulator and would soon get on with making of full mission simulators for Fighter & Transport Aircrafts used by IAF/IN.
