Maron Bio-Products Pvt. Ltd is part of the Meron Group of Companies.
In the year 1982, Mr. Kurian Jose Sr. began manufacturing food grade Agar Agar (China Grass) for the local market. As a result of constant focus on R&D, Bacteriological, Pharmaceutical and Plant Tissue Culture Grade Agar Agar was introduced in the year 1989. Currently the Company has a production capacity over 500 MT per annum.
We have since then introduced several value-added products like Spreadable Agar Wonder Gel, Agar Instant (Fast Soluble Agar, Agarose, Carrageenan, Alginate, Chitin & Chitosan, etc., The company also began exports to several countries.
We are the exclusive supplier of Agar to many MNC’s and also to 90% of the commercial tissue culture laboratories in India and several leading laboratories across the world. We export to South America, North America, Europe, CIS & Russia, Africa, Middle East, South East Asia, Far East, and Australia.
We also have introduced consumer packing for all our products for retail sale and supplying to major retail outlets in India and abroad. Meron Bio Products Pvt. Ltd., was established in the year 1994 for manufacturing value added products from Agar Agar and Carrageenan as well as other natural bio-polymers like Chitin & Chitosan.
Our rapid growth is attributed to the quality structure of our organization which is based on culture of innovation coupled with emphasis on technology and professionalism. We are the market leaders for various types of Agar Agar and other Hydrocolloids.
We cater to a wide range of applications in food, Confectionary, Dairy, Bakery, Pharmaceuticals, pharmaceuticals, microbiology, cosmetics, Persona Care, Home Care, Dentistry et.,
Our mission is to be a one stop solution for all Hydrocolloid requirements.
We directly employ above 100 people and indirectly support the lives of over 250 people including fisherman who collect the seaweed. We are also actively involved in the social economic activities for the upliftment of under privileged women and children.
